A couple weeks ago I took Seren to the Clovis Fest to see the hot air balloons take off. This was a first for us. I've always wanted to go, but just never made it out there. When her father and I were together, we use to watch the hot air balloons take off when we lived in Southern California, but we never were able to watch here. So, when my friend asked if we wanted to go together, I was excited! We got up at the butt crack of dawn (which was difficult because I had to close at work the night before), and headed down to the Clovis Rodeo grounds. It was such a nice morning and I'm glad we went!

We were able to watch one take off from the very beginning. See that fan on the bottom left? They used that to blow the balloon up. So simple! (But, so heavy duty.)

Then, to get the balloon where it needed to be, they turned on the flames! We were close enough to be able to feel the heat. So cool!
