John's Favorite Things!

Yesterday was John's 3rd birthday. Awww, my sweet boy is now 3. For his actual birthday we stayed home and relaxed. I was pooped from his party on Thursday, so I enjoyed the day off with him yesterday. I got lots of snuggles and love from him all day long. It was a perfect way to celebrate his birth as I remember that day well! I was thinking about his birth yesterday and I was thinking how a birth story is a memory every mom has, and is willing to share. (I won't be sharing now, but it was the best birth I've had so far.) Anyway, I'm excited that we've entered a new age, which brings new experiences, but I still miss my little baby boy.

Look at my sweet baby on his birth day. <3

Now look at him today. Such a big boy!

For his birthday party this year I decided to do a "John's Favorite Things" party. I incorporated a few of his favorite things into one party. We did food with a Star Wars theme, goody bags with a Toy Story theme, E&M Reptiles came to do a show and all the kids came dressed in their favorite costume. It was so much fun, and I loved putting it all together!!! The best part? The party was small (with only 10 kiddos) so the kids got to spend a lot of time with the reptiles and I got to enjoy the party with John. It was perfect. :)

Here are the goody bags.

For the food part of the party, I got my ideas from justJENN and this site. I bought the jpeg file from their Etsy store, which helped personalize the party.

Yoda and Darth Vader cupcakes.

The food "table." I also had "Pizza the Hutt" but didn't take pictures of that.
(Looks like this picture is blurry, sorry!)

Welcoming our friends!

Eric from E&M!

John getting to know the stick bugs! So fun!

Ribbit!

Seren, laughing at this guy. This is my all time favorite picture!

Kisses!

Seren getting to know the snake a little better. ;)

Singing happy birthday to John. He was singing along with us, it was too cute.

Mama and the birthday boy!

Happy 3rd birthday to my sweet John-John.
